African Conference on the Integration of African Languages and Cultures into Education (20-22 January 2010, Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso)
During this conference, an interdisciplinary group of experts developed a policy guideline for the promotion of mother-tongue-based multilingual and multicultural education systems, which was subsequently amended and adopted by Ministers of Education from 18 African countries. The Conference was hosted by the Minister of Education of Burkina Faso and organised in collaboration with ADEA and UIL. more
