Policy brief in Arabic and Portuguese

16 September 2016

The recently published Policy Brief 5 of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL), entitled Making Large-Scale Literacy Campaigns and Programmes Work is now available in two additional languages:

The policy brief draws important lessons from a recent analysis of adult literacy campaigns and programmes implemented around the world between 2000 and 2014. The key message resulting from this analysis is that literacy challenges need to be addressed from a lifelong learning perspective. The aim of the policy brief is to help policymakers develop effective strategies to achieve the literacy target set within Education 2030, the new global education agenda.
