The Association for the Development of Education in Africa (ADEA) is one of the most important African partners of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong (UIL). UIL contributes to the ADEA Triennales on Education and Training in Africa, most recently in Spring 2012, and is active in its working group on non-formal education.
The ADEA Steering Committee held its 37th Session on 12–14 December 2012 in Paris. The session was opened by Mr Dzingai Mutumbuka, Chair of ADEA. During this seminar, the participants discussed a revised document on the vision of ADEA, the Triennale Follow-up Strategic Framework, and ADEA’s Strategic Medium-Term Plan for 2013–2017. This was followed by a roundtable discussion of public-private partnerships for ICT, and an introduction to new partners in Education for Sustainable Development.
