UIL awards scholarship to leading gender advocate in Kenya

UIL has awarded a training scholarship to a member of the ALADIN network of documentation and information centres. The recipient, Ms Rachel Kagoiya, has begun a seven-week online course on using Social Media and Tactics, in cooperation with the iSchool Institute at the University of Toronto, the largest programme for continuing education in the field of information in Canada.

Ms Kagoiya manages the Gender & Development Resource Centre at FEMNET (African Women’s Development and Communication Network in Nairobi, Kenya), a leading information hub on women’s rights and development issues in Africa.
