The Standing Committee of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL) – the Bureau of the UIL Governing Board – meets on 25 and 26 July 2017 at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France.
This meeting takes place at a critical moment, 2017 being for UNESCO the last year of the biennium. For UIL the second semester of the year will be marked by two major events: the third International Conference on Learning Cities (18-20 September, Cork, Ireland) and the CONFINTEA VI Mid-Term Review (25-27 October, Suwon, Republic of Korea).
The 2018 UIL Programme is being crafted in line with the draft 39 C/5, it is meant to contribute to achieving the SDGs while continuing the implementation of the UIL Medium-Term Strategy 2014-2021.
