UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning in collaboration with the Centre for Validation of Prior Learning & Lifelong Learning Strategies (ECI) of Inholland University, the Netherlands, and in partnership with the French National Commission for UNESCO set up the international conference on “Linking recognition practices to qualifications frameworks – North and South collaborative research”. The aim of the conference was to arrive at a better understanding on issues of policy and practice surrounding the recognition, validation and accreditation of non-formal and informal learning (RVA), with a special focus on the linkages to qualifications frameworks.
