In 2013, the Republic of Korea will host a regional CONFINTEA VI follow-up meeting for Asia and the Pacific. It will be jointly organized by the National Institute for Lifelong Learning (NILE), whose Director is a member of the CONFINTEA Advisory Group , UIL and the UNESCO Regional Bureau for Education in Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok.

Preparations and concrete planning for the meeting will begin later in 2012.
